From the premiere of the new season of Bizarre Foods, a season that will find Andrew visiting South Korea, Singapore, Texas, and more:
Water from fruit. Really. What will they think of next?
The makers of Karpati bottled water, who are based in Australia, have devised a method they call "pressure chilling" to make their product. As they put it, "Every drop is filtered through fruit - making it the most naturally purified water on earth, using nature's living filters."
For more on this process, refer to the Karpati Web site.

Makes sense, I guess, that Andrew Zimmern should be chosen as a spokesperson for Cherry Pepto. It would be tough to come up with a better match, aside from the likes of something like Imodium. If you can't get enough of Andrew on Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern then have a look at the Taste Adventure Guides listed here.
Speaking of Bizarre Foods, the current season is still underway, with Andrew slated to visit Maine next. Along for the ride this time - the elder Zimmern, Andrew's father. Highlights to include beaver chili and stinging nettles soup.

Look for plenty of bizarro stuff on the Travel Channel tonight (or in reruns, if you're late to the party). Check out the premiere episode of Bizarre Worlds with Andrew Zimmern, in which he travels to Turkey for belly dancing, a mud bath, and more. Followed by the Hawaii episode of Bizarre Foods and what Andrew says is "possibly the all time greatest bizarre foods dish" he's tried.
Check out the sneak peek here.
There's also an "Are You Bizarre Enough for TV?" contest going on. Upload a video detailing why you deserve to be on Bizarre Foods and get a chance to win a trip to Minnesota to meet Andrew. More info here.
What's more horrifying - baked tarantula, fresh steer blood, chilled lamb kidney or Andrew Zimmern in a John Waters mustache? If you can't sort it all out without some visual assistance, then you'll need to tune into the Halloween episode of Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern. It airs Tuesday, October 21st on the Travel Channel. Check your local listings for details.
Here's a preview of the episode and here's the Bizarre Foods Web site.

Would you pay someone to freeze your bottled water? If you live in a blistering hot climate, the kind of place where a bottle of water becomes downright tepid in no time at all, you just might. Which is what the makers of Fria Frozen Water are betting on. Read more about it in the Arizona Daily Star.
Have you indulged in a bit too much Red Bull, perhaps? Or Meth Coffee? It might just be time for an extreme relaxation beverage. No, it's apparently not anything with cyanide in it, though I guess that would fit the bill. What it is is Drank, a product which promises to "Slow Your Roll" and which contains such extremely relaxing ingredients as valerian root and melatonin. Don't take two of those.
It's time for another new episode of Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern. This time around he's headed to Sicily to dig into the likes of sardine meatballs, cow spleen and artichoke ice cream, among other things.
The new episode airs tonight on The Travel Channel. If you're reading this after the fact don't despair - Bizarre Foods episodes seem to be rerun quite frequently.
Here's the transcript of a recent chat with Andrew.
