Grapples

If you thought the Broccoflower was the final word when it comes to offbeat fruits and vegetables, guess again.

I was in the grocery store the other day when I ran across something called a Grapple. The catchy packaging slogan informed me that it "looks like an apple" and "tastes like a grape." Well, then.

As it turns out, I'm well behind the curve on this one. As nearly as I can tell, it came out sometime in 2004.

What's next? A banorange? A pomegectarine? A cranaya? Well, you get the point.
