From our People With Too Much Time On Their Hands bureau, comes a report of a high school girl who fashioned a dress from lollipop wrappers - Dum Dum wrappers, to be specific. Caroline Bodell, the designer, hails from the Flint, Michigan area and has actually won a design award for her creation. Read more at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Food - it's not just for eating anymore. Now how's that for a snappy marketing slogan?

Of course, food's never really been just for eating, but a pair of news items recently hammered that point home.

The one that's been getting a fair amount of attention concerns a Ukrainian chef - Valentyn Shtefano - who fashioned a twenty-pound wedding dress for his bride out of cream puffs - 1,500 of them in all. Don't try to figure out why, by the way. That path will only lead to madness.

If peanut butter is more your speed, you should have been at the Suffolk Peanut Festival, in Virginia, recently. One of the highlights of this event is the World's Only Peanut Butter Sculpture Contest. Read all about it in one of the local papers and don't forget to check out the very appetizing photo.
